We hope that you enjoyed a lovely end to the year and spent some quality time with friends and family. We spent Christmas with the Newcastle wing of our family - lots of fun! We also settled into some quiet reflection on all things 2018. It was a special year of growth (literally!) for us on the farm. We're full of excitement as we peek into the year ahead. We'll be continuing to bring Organic goodness to the world from our own little corner of NSW. As always, a huge THANK YOU for all of your support over the past year. We're over the moon to have shipped so many orders to you! Here's to all that 2019 brings, we hope that it's a magical year for all of us.
'Food Con is designed for the regions foodies to create collaboration, make connections, share ideas, showcase local food and to be inspired.' We were invited to be part of the producers showcase, so we took our produce babies for a day out of meeting and greeting! It was such fun to meet our neighbouring farmers and food producers, to share ideas, form new connections and to celebrate our beautiful region. It was easy to get excited about the theme of the day.. COLLABORATION. As regional businesses, we're certainly stronger together. We're looking forward to working with new local friends in the year ahead and staying in touch with everyone that we met on the day. Thank you for having us Food Con 2018!
As our farm starts to bring in a steady income this year, we're really excited to be donating a portion of every kilo sold to an organisation that we believe in. Our goal for this year is to sponsor one child's education. We're aiming for our donation to grow each year as our farm does. We've both been gifted the opportunity to run with the education that we've received. It feels important to be paying something forward to those who may not have that same opportunity. We're fortunate to have an incredible friend who has started his own organisation. We hope that you'll take a look at 'Growth Educational Trust' and show some support by following their social channels. IN 2015 THE VISION OF GROWTH EDUCATIONAL TRUST WAS BORN. Hamish Coltman, after volunteering in Uganda for 5 months realised there was a need for qualified teachers along with [...]
Chris grew up on the East Coast of Australia. He set off to work on Cattle Stations across Australia, Canada and onto a management role on King Island. Life was an adventure and home was pretty much where the bag lay on the ground. Mel was born and raised in London, UK. She carved out a career in Television which included a 5 year stint working on the award-winning children's series, Horrible Histories. After a decade in Production it was time for a new direction. She set off on a travel adventure and followed her feet to Australia. We met in 2015 on a Cattle Station in the middle of nowhere in Western Australia. It wasn't long before we knew that we would be heading into the next adventure together. After leaving the Cattle station, we took to the road in a Honda Civic with only a tent in [...]
